help in rpm
 

hi .....
any one can help to complete my rpm creation ...im using redhar 8
when i use the command
rpm -ba pkg.spec
i get the msg
-ba is unkown option
so any one can help .....

Well according to the man page ( http://man.linuxquestions.org/index....ction=0&type=2 ) that command and option is used after you've already done the prep, build and install stages..

I've never done an rpm build before but have you tried looking at the man page for rpm, seems to have lots of information there ?

It appears that in RedHat 8 any of the rpm -b* commands have changed to rpmbuild -b* Try that instead.
