I'm using Libranet 2.8.1. I followed the instructions in the mozilla site but I couldn't install firefox... I extracted the tar file then typed firefox.... but it says command not found... I also tried double clicking the shell script named firefox but nothing happens... It just asks me if i want to run it or display it, i chose run but nothing happens... Pls help I really want to use firefox as my default browser

Don't double click (you're not in Windows), but run the installer from the console

thanks, but when I use console it does not recognize the firefox script.. and I'm sure that I am in the directory where I extracted it.. I also tried to use the firefox with installer in the link you gave, but I get this error looking for an xpistub file... *sigh* I still don't know why nothing happens when I open the firefox script...

Are you root and do you use the ./firefox-installer command (with dot slash firefox-installer)? Is the script executable (ls -l)?
