Help - i Mac Not Booting

/*300Mhz iMac G3 w/ 192 MB RAM
Ubuntu 5.10 */

When I power it up it goes through normal boot faze.
Ubuntu Bootstrap >
Yaboot >
Then it goes to Apple's White Firmware Screenand stops there...Normally it flashed the Firmware screen for a split second and goes to starting up Ubuntu.

Also: It won't boot from ANY cd-rom

i don't know too much about it, but have you try "yellowdog" this one is especially design for PowerPCs,

It won't boot ANY CD I've tryied Ubuntu, Yellow Dog, and Gentoo

Are you holding down the C key to boot from CDrom? To boot from CD you have to hold C during the process.
