Help! gxine hijacked my firebird

I opened gxine and now whenever I click on a link to a movie file in firebird or mozilla the gxine plug-in plays the movie instead of totem (or giving me a choice to save the file or open it with another player). I removed the gxine package, but the plug-in aplet still loads instead of opening the movie file in totem. There is no gxine plugin in the plugin folder for firebird or mozilla. I have tried removing the .phoenix and .gxine folders from my user folder and reinstalling firebird, but I haven't resolved my proble.Does anyone have any other ideas?

Awesome! That was the fix. I hate it when programs steal file associations without asking me.
