Heimdal vs MIT krb5 which ones better?
 

Hi,

I am intersted in installing in implementing Kerberos 5 on my desktop. I was wondering what some more experinced linux users thought about the two free implementations of Kerberos 5 I have read about, MIT krb5 and Heimdal. I was wondering which one i should use. I want the one that is the most solid and secure. Also i was looking into the installation and configuration of both of them. What i don't understand is what i should put down for the default realm or the other realms. I am not on a network. I use dialup internet, and I was wondering if I should just put down a made up phony realm. I am new at this so please be gentle.

I would guess author doesn't care anymore but I'd like to tell my experience with the two implementations.

Mit: works but some sites take extremely long to open as well until opened, firefox is almost frozen.
Heimdal: no issues since my half an hour experience

I'd like to here if others experience(d) the same issues with firefox and mit kerberos.
