Having trouble with proxychains...

When using proxychains, (mostly with telnet) it seems to tell me that all of my proxies are broken. Though I get them right off the web.(http://www.publicproxyservers.com/page1.html)

I then installed yaph and now I run that to scan for valid proxies, but after a few dozens subnets w/ no results, its kind of discouraging.

Any ideas?

thanks
