Question Having problems with icons

Can anyone help?

I downloaded ccmsn for linux and untarred it in my home directory. through the console if i'm in the ccmsn directory, all i have to do to launch the app is ./ccmsn and it works fine.

What I want to do is have an icon on the desktop as a shortcut to be able to launch the app. I created my icon and when I click on it it doesn't launch. the command the icon executes is "cd /home/booya/programs/ccmsn-0.3p3 && ./ccmsn" it doesn't work but the same command in the terminal works...why?

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Booya!

try changing the path for the icon to just /home/booya/programs/ccmsn-0.3p3/ccmsn and see if that works.
