Have I got these installed?

Hi,

I am runnning RedHat 9 Personal, and I want to install a package called SMS Server Tools. To install it, I need to have the following installed on my system:

mm Shared Memory Library
gcc GNU Compiler Collection
glibc GNU C Library
make GNU Make
tar GNU Tape Archiver

How can I check whether or not I have these installed? I guessed at typing them in at the command prompt and observing the output.

mm produces:: bash: mm: command not found
gcc produces:: no input files (So I have this one)
glibc produces:: bash: glibc: command not found
make produces:: make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop. (So I have this)
tar produces:: tar: You must specify one of the `-Acdtrux' options
Try `tar --help' for more information.
(So I have this)

What about glibc and mm? How can I find out if I have them? Thanks for your help, and please excuse my ignorance ;-)

MJ

Hi,

Thank u :-)

I've installed everything, but I can't see a listing for mm or glibc in the development tools section.
