Red face hanging up when booting


since i heard the sound from my wireless router i thought this was my linux box crying and i started to shutdown and restart the unit. when i reboot the system hangs and says the following

<program name unknown> : error while loading shared libraries: libz.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit: line 59: 32 segmentation fault grep -q /initrd /proc/mounts

setting default font(latarcyrheb-sun16) and hangs up ....

can some help with this issue. i am also running oracle and need to recover immedately for lot of instatance waiting to run.

I appreciate your help and time in advance.
