handbrake ubuntu 8.04 crash
 

I was using Handbrake to rip dvd movies to my ipod, this has worked very well until last night. I installed Kino and Qdvdauthor yesterday afternoon and now there appears to be a problem with Handbrake.

It works as normal, loads up, scans the disc and then I can select the titles I want and put them into the que. However when I click on start Handbrake simply shuts down.

I know the simple answer may well be to get rid of Kino and Qdvd but these are both programs that I would rather keep.

OK then this is weird. I could not post any more details about my problem as I was at work. I thought I would go onto handbrake and post the command line details. However when I came home tonight I received an update and was then told to restart the computer, my handbrake problem seems to be fixed. Sorry about wasting space on the LQ site.
