gxine info text

Anyone know how to get rid of the blue information text that appears on the gxine window when playing a file? You know the stuff like:

0:00:00 example.mpg
live MPEG_ELEM 160x120 MPEG (libmpeg2)

It's somewhat visually distracting. In full-screen mode it disappears, but I would like it to disappear in windowed mode, too.

try messing with the infobar.c file located in the gxine-0.4.x/src directory. try making stubs out of some of those functions...

see what happens...

for testing purposes only run /.configure and make. Then if you can compile the package, get the newly created gxine file and move it where the old one resides, /usr/bin in my case. I haven't tried it myself, maybe some weekend if I'm bored.

Good luck
