Gwenview "loop" in View mode - patch or plug-in?

There is an archived thread on a Gwenview-related mailing list on which the regulars deemed the subscriber with the suggestion a "spammer," but I honestly think it would be a good idea.

Maybe someone could patch a version, or make a kipi or nepomuk plugin to add this functionality? Otherwise it's likely someone would have to email the author with this suggestion. I don't have very good luck, myself, on that score. (For instance, I've been waiting almost 3 months for mapivi's author to reply to one of my suggestions.)

If it's possible via "patch" or "plug," I think one would be very welcome, considering how many other viewers (XnViewMP, gthumb) already have it and weighing that against how many years Gwenview has been around.
