!! Guys!! Can't See All 6 Sides of Desktop When Rotating Cube
Hey Guys!!! I got Ubuntu 7.10 and I enabled the "Rotate Cube" graphic for the desktop so that I can rotate my desktop like a cube. I can successfully view 4 sides of the desktop in the cube as it rotates around, or side by side, but I cannot view the top or bottom sides of the cube. It doesn't rotate up and down to view the top and bottom parts of the cube.
How can I fix it so that I can view all 6 sides of the cube instead of just 4? Thanks guys!!!
Christopher, thank you for your response. How do I enable more than 4 workspaces so that I can view all 6 sides if the cube? Is this different than enabling the 4 desktops? In case it is, I enabled more than 4 desktops and I still couldn't view the top and bottom of the cube. Please, let me know how to view the whole cube - top and bottom... Thanks!
taurusx5 what Christopher and I tried to say is that top and bottom faces of the cube can be decorated, but no desktop will be shown there...
If you set 6 desktops, they will show as faces of an octagon, set 5 desktops youll get an heptagon, cuz top and bottom will not show any desktop, theyll just show images you choose to show, but NO desktop...
OK, ricio... all I want is to see the WHOLE cube, not just the 4 sides rotating around. Do you mean to say that in order for me to view all 6 sides of the cube I got to show a picture on the top and bottom of the cube? OK, let's make this simple... VERY SIMPLY, in order to view the top and/or bottom of the cube, what must I do?
Try to config the zoom out cube option in beryl or compiz to the max, that way youll see the whole rotating cube... and normally it works by doing ctrl + alt + mouse move when you press those keys you have cube free rotation...
hey ricio .... I tried zooming all the way to the max, and all I saw was the same 4 sides of the cube rotating, no top or bottom. Maybe I don't have something configured correctly on my laptop. I don't know. It's weird. I can't believe something this simple can't be done.
Anyway, ricio. You've been very informative. If you have additional suggestions at this point, I would like to hear about and apply them to see if this thing will finally come up. thanks!
