gtkam relocation error

I installed the gtkam-0.1.9 RPM (apparently without dependancy problems).

However, when I try to run it from a console, I got a relocation error.

So I then entered the command "gtkam -d" with the following output:

setting/gphoto2-setting.c: Creating $HOME/.gphoto
setting/gphoto2-setting.c: Loading Settings from file "'home/john/.gphoto/settings"
gtkam: relocation error: /usr/lib/libpangoxft-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: FT_Get_First_Char

If I look in the /usr/lib directory, I find libpangoxft-1.0.so.0 (rwxr-xr-x) and libpangoxft-1.0.so.0.0.4 (rwxr-xr-x)

I get the same result if I execute the command as SU.

What do I need to do to make "gtkam" work?
