GTK problem. help please.
checking for pkg-config... (cached) /usr//bin/pkg-config
checking for GTK+ - version >= 2.0.3... no *** Could not run GTK+ test program, checking why... *** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the *** exact error that occured. This usually means GTK+ is incorrectly installed. I get this error when trying to configure xchat, first it didnīt find GLIB but after a few days i figured that to make GLIB to work i have to add glibs *.pc files to the pkg-config path so it can find them. But as soon as i got it fixed i get this message, and iīve been trying to find anykind of pc files which belong to GTK but there isenīt any. I suppose i have to fix it someother way. Anyone who could help me to solve this problem? |
Do you have Gtk2 installed even? Or do you have an older version? Its looking for version 2.0.3 in which most likely you will need to compile xchat.
