gtk error

gtk+ 2.6.1

./configure

configure: error: Library requirements (glib-2.0 >= 2.6.0 atk >= 1.0.1 pango >= 1.7.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

please help thanks

stick to RPM based instalations if you are on an rpm based distro... please realise that you've nto given us any background information liek your distro, and why you are trying to do this gtk compile from source. please fill in your user profile now. click here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...on=editprofile

if you are on an rpm based distro and bizarely still want to compile gtk (and probably break the existnig version that's already installed) you'll ned to install the glib-devel, atk-devel etc... packages to compile from source.

The problem is that surely your pango version is previous to 1.7 ( try rpm -q pango to see the version, if installed pango from any distro). Download pango 1.8 from gtk webpage and compile it.
