GTK apps don't use correct colours after upgrade

I've just upgraded from Mandrake 10.1 Community to Mandriva 2005 LE, and am using the GTK-QT-Engine.

Before upgrading, all GTK2 programs used the correct system colours under KDE, but since upgrading, the colours of GTK programs appear hard coded, and don't match the system colours. I have selected "Apply colours to non-KDE applications" from the colour page of the KDE control panel, but this doesn't have any effect.
