gtk+ 2.4.1 messes with X (Fedora Core 1)
Hey,
I installed gtk+-2.4.1, and it worked fine for a few minutes. Then when I rebooted, X wouldn't start! I got an error like "X has closed 6 times in 90 seconds...". So I logged in, and ran startx, and it seemed to start fine. But once KDE loaded, graphical programs (such as Mozilla, KWrite) wouldn't open. Don't understand why. I'd only just installed this Fedora distro anyway, so I decided to just format and reinstall it. But now, I've installed gtk+ again, and exactly the same thing happenned =/
How come? I'm pretty sure it's gtk+, it happenned just after I installed the latest versions of pango, atk, glib, and gtk+. Is there some kinda conflict with the version of X? It's the latest version also, I think, came with Fedora Core 1. Anyone know why this happens, and what I should do to fix it?
