Angry gta3 and winex cvs on SuSE 8.0, please help


hello everyone... i downloaded the winex cvs, and installed it, that all went fine... i just cant figure out why gta3 wont work... im a newbie to linux in general, so plx help... i hate ms and i hate having to get on xp to lpay gta3...

anyway i run the command "wine /home/justin/c/Program\ Files/Rockstar\ Games/GTAIII/gta3.exe"... the out put is this and i get a popup from winex that says "unload the debugger and try again", but here is that output:

i have no idea whats thats telling me... i run SuSe 8.0 personal... i am pretty sure my config file is setup right, and if not, then i guess i dont know how to set that up either... please help me..

i didn't know that gta3 can run on wine, its too complex.... ??...someone correct me if i am wrong....

well i was over at transgaming.com at it had a 4 out of 5 working rating so i know it works... i would try there, but not credit card, yet... anyway i hope i can get it soon, so plz, any idea that *might* work i'll try...

EDIT: im using winex from transgaming if i forgot to mention...

if you can't get it to work, why don't you use one of them things that allow you to run more than one o/s at a time...its called Vmware or something, but u gotta pay for that, and plus you need a good system to handle it.....anyone have suggestions ?

well i dont know that my system can handle that... anyway i really want to figure this out, any other ideas?

From what I remember from Winex is that it's regular wine with transgaming's directx additions on top. Have you tried running it with "winex" and not just "wine"?

well the winex command is justi wine... i tried uninstalling winex, reinstalling wine, then with no luck when back to winex... this is really starting to piss me off

Are you running wine off an existing Windows partition? Make sure to unmount windows partitions before installing winex. Suse normally calls it /mnt/windows so it would just be a "umount /mnt/windos" and then another reinstall of Winex
