Grub problem. What do I put in menu 1st to use the chainloader for Fc6 on hdb10?

I've always used a different method, and currently am quad booting, and wish to have Fedora as well. i have already installed fedora core 6 at hdb10 for / and hdb11 for /home. I installed grub at the root partition rather than the mbr.

mepis 6.0 set up windows for chainloading at(hd0,0), and I thought it would be a simple matter to copy and paste and then change it to (hd0,9) or maybe 10 . . . but neither works . . . so, What do I do?

No need to try to chainload between two distros if both are using grub. Just construct the menu.lst entry for the second OS to boot, so that it is similar to the other grub entry.

title Fedora
kernel line here
initrd line here

hdb is a second hard drive? If so try hd1,9

instead of:

hi Big.normally that is what i do, but it will not work for some reason. It would be of huge help if somebody would paste the section of their menu 1st that has the latest Fedora core on it.
No Fordeck, it isnt a second drive. kinda weird though. I would have thought it to be hda as well. I will try your suggestion.

I would really like to get the chainloader to work though.
