i am having a dual boot system with red hat enterprise linux 5 and windows vista. My problem is that i have given the following command at console
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda bs=446 count =1
then i rebooted my system, after that my boot loader was removed, i was able to re-install the grub by going thru rescue mode but now when i am trying to start the windows vista, it is just restarting my system, what i should do now.i have already tired to re-install the Linux but no result

When you re-installed Linux, did you instruct it to also install the bootloader (GRUB). What happened after the re-install? ("no result" does not tell us much)
