OK, I'm in a bit of a predicament. I'm having to post this from college, because I can't get on the internet at all at home now.
You see, my computer won't boot Linux anymore.
I think I use GRUB. I get it's green GUI screen (I have SuSE Personal 9.1) and I can choose 'Linux' or 'Failsafe', but when I hit enter (or the bar times out) it displays:
Loading Linux..........................................................
_
(or 'Loading Failsafe', if that's what I chose)
And then just stops.
It can boot into WinME, but I can't seem to configure that to work with my (really rather simple) internet setup.
Does anybody know what to do?
Windoze doesn't acknowledge my Linux partition's existence, and I can't even get a Linux command line.
I shut it down properly last night, and I didn't change any boot settings that I know of.
If I can get the net working at home, I'll download a rescue disk (or use the SuSE Install CD if that has a rescue function) and try and fix it from there, but not having much experience in this field I wouldn't have a clue what to do.
Any ideas?
