GRUB bootloadre problems PLEASE HELP ME

hi. i have 2 harddrive and i installed linux on my master harddrive and i have a 60 gb harddrive with three partions thet i rarely use. my 60 gb harddrive has windows xp with ntfs in the first partion and i have windows xp again with fat32 in the second partion and my third partion is some unallocated space. I have 2 windows xp partions because i want to mount fat32 in linux. I have REDHAT linux 9.0. Now when i try to load Windows xp with GRUB in NTFS partion it doesn't work. it says Booting Windows Xp Pro
rootnoverify (hd1,2)
chainloader +1
When i try to boot Linux it works fine. I tried changing grub.conf so that it says (hd1,00) for the ntfs partion but it does not work. My grub configuration file reads as follows:
# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /boot/, eg.
# root (hd0,0)
# kernel /vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/hda2
# initrd /initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/hda
default=0
timeout=10
splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.20-8)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-8 ro root=LABEL=/ hdc=ide-scsi
initrd /initrd-2.4.20-8.img
title DOS
rootnoverify (hd1,2)
chainloader +1
___________________________________________________

NOTE: DOS is the Windows XP
PLEASE HELP ME. ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATED.

I don't think windows xp will boot from the secondary hard drive.

Tell GRUB to fool it...

title WinXP
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
rootnoverify (hd0,2)
chainloader +1

0,2 ... ONLY if NT is on THIRD partition.
Second Partition is hd0,1
First part is hd0,0

so is it going to be like this:
title WinXP
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

because i'm booting from the master harddrive which has linux in it but my windows xp is in the slave drive and it's in the first partion of my slave drive so should it be rootnoverify (hd1,0)

hi

i tried this::

# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /boot/, eg.
# root (hd0,0)
# kernel /vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/hda2
# initrd /initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/hda
default=0
timeout=10
splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.20-8)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-8 ro root=LABEL=/ hdc=ide-scsi
initrd /initrd-2.4.20-8.img
title WinXP
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1

and it did not work. i got the grub prompt screen. should it be rootnoverify (hd1,0) or rootnoverify (hd0,0) since windows xp is installed in the slave drive and i'm booting from the master drive with linux in it. DO YOU SEE ANYTHING WITH MY GRUB CONFIGURATION FILE., PLEASE HELP ME
