grub booting issue

I think i've done a bad thing. I had a dual boot xp home & redha 9 on my 80Gb and needed the room for xp so i deleted the linux partions through disk management in xp. Now it won't boot into xp, it goes to a grub loader screen and i can't do anything, xp won't boot from a floppy either.

Have i done something that can't be undone? I don't want redhat on this machine anymore, i just want it all to go away

If you have the XP CD's you should be able to boot with them and fix the MBR http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/h...ons_fixmbr.asp

I have linux installed on another computer at home and we use linux alot at uni, i hate windows just as much as the next person.

when i boot from the xp cd it inspects my sytem and then hangs at the blue screen with windows setup at the top. I know this is probably getting away from linux now but i need my computer back.

see if you can re create a MBR with only dos,s fdisk.

fdisk /mbr
