Question Grub Boot Problem

Hey I recently pulled a .vhd (RedHat9) off a cd that use to boot up with no problem. Now I load Grub and try to boot up and it stops with this >>

Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

What about on-motherboard controller and filesystem support?
Did you build kernel by yourself or it is from distro?
Did you configured grub by yourself or it was configured automatically during installation?
