This may have been answered alread, i have searched around and didnt really find anything that would work so please dont yell at me if it has been answerd. i just installed slackware 10 and i wanted to use grub so downloaded and installed it. it didnt come with a splash image so i made one. whenever grub comes up its just black with the menu on it theres no splash screen. is there a different way to set up the splash screen in the newer versions of grub because i did what i have done before in older versions. here is my menu.lst

but you have bzImage in your kernel line. Did you compile your own? slackware tends to use vmlinuz
