GRUB = bootloader, a rough tutorial

This subject line of being ROUGH no longer truly describes the higher level of editting I have done.

This HOWTO is a new post and is now here

Perhaps you could consider writing this up as a LinuxAnswer:

david

Thanks for the suggestion, can you just move this post?

The Linux Answers are slightly seperate from the forum and are individually approved before being published.

You can submit a Linux Answer here:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ion=addarticle

You can also use bbcode to tidy up the display a bit.

david

I know little about bbcode so had a quick look at the link, thankyou.

I created this in a modest text editor and so prefer to leave it that way. It sounds rude to dismiss a Mod's kind suggestion. but I will take my chances of apporval at your other page and wear the consequences. If its rejected so be it.

You might guess I have other concerns at the moment so I am trying to prioritise what little is left of my meagre life, joke.

Thankyou tho for your patience.

I have got around to true GRUB floppies that boot kernel and an initrd image in a new link here
If you have no initrd image just delete that line in the menu.lst file

I have put the multi-floppy instructions into the above tutorial.

But still free to make any suggestions or comments

Thankyou

I now consider this a dead post. I will no longer edit this one as my new link is where the action is. If mods would kindly consider closing this thread I would appreciate it.
