Grip trunctuates ID3 tags

Okay, now first off, my music of choice is Trance, or any sort of Techno, which brings me to my problem. Since there are gajillions of mixes of techno songs, the title (which needs to encompass the artist, title AND remix if applicable) on the ID3 tag, gets rather long. Something like this:

Code:
Future Sound Of London \ Papua New Guinea Original 12" Mix
Which shouldn't be a problem, unfortunately, Grip seems to trunctuate filenames in the ID3 tag that it thinks are too long, so I end up with a messed up title like this:

Code:
Future Sound Of London \ Papua
Now when I slap this baby on my iPod, needless to say, I'm going to be a little bit pissed (I'm quite anal about my tags thank you very much ^_^). So, does anyone know of a way to fix this problem? If not, is there another better CD ripping front-end, like Grip, that doesn't have this problem?

I just tried ripperX

Code:
Hear You Calling [Dark Moon Remix]
to

Code:
Hear You Calling [Dark Moon Re
:\.

Although it seems to be MUCH faster than Grip, if anyone has a way of fixing it in ripperX, I'd prefer that, since it flies compared to Grip for me.

Do you NEED the tags? What if you just exclude the tags, and just have everything in the file name? Here's what I have for my filename setting:

Code:
%A/%d/%t-%n.%x
You could have yours be something like
Code:
%A\ -\ %d\ -\ %t\ -\ %n.%x
where it goes
Artist - Disk - Track - Name.extension

Well considering I use this music on an iPod, AND I find tags very useful. Yes.

But what I'm saying is, if you don't have an ID3 tags, doesn't the iPod display the filename? I know it's no fix, but it could be a work-around. If worse comes to worst, you could manually edit the ID3 tags with something like XMMS after you finish ripping the CDs.

The problem is, when I'm trying to find the song I want to listen to, which is inconvenitently located in a folder alongside every other song, the filename will be so ridiculously long, I'll never be able to differentiate one from the other. XMMS also has a problem with that, but that's another story, and I can go back and edit them with EasyTag, but I'd prefer to have the application work like its supposed to.
