Greeting Card Software for Linux -- Suggestions? VMWare?

My 86 year-old mother is now using Ubuntu Linux, but misses her ability to produce greeting cards as easily as she did under Windows XP. I googled around for Linux versions of greeting card programs and found nothing. I'm tempted to try CodeWeavers' solution, but their site does not offer much hope that her favorite program, Greetings Workshop, will work.

So, my question is, has anyone come up with a workable solution -- other than a dual-boot or 2nd computer with Windows installed? (We might go that route if we cannot come up with another solution.)

I'd particularly like hear from anyone who has a way to produce a VMWare version of Windows that works on Linux.

TIA

well software as obscure (sounding) as that is very unliekly to work with crossover office, if i remember right you have to choose from an explicit list of apps anyway.

as for vmware, not really sure what you want knowledge of, it's absolutely possible and very suimple to do, so yeah... vmware is fine.

You could try Scribus http://www.scribus.net/ which should have templates for greeting cards.
