Hi anybody know if there is any greeting card software available for Lubuntu 15.04? IE: Birthday cards, Holidays, etc?

nah, use the free e-Cards sites online...
wide selection, always what you need...Care2 for example, and you support a good cause :)
And...if you reallyreallyreallyreally need to do that offline, I'd use Gimp

As Thor_2.0 has indicated, there really isn't too much available for Linux in this regard. Most of your options will be online, this being one. ;)

EDIT: I can't get the above link to Avery to work for some reason. So go here and then click on "Templates," then "Software," then "Avery Design & Print."

You can also check out "Scribus" and "LibreOffice" in the repositories (using Synaptic.) They should also have some ability to do this. Be sure to grab any extra template packages that are offered. Here is a article on making cards using Scribus.

Years ago, there used to be a program for KDE called "KreetingKard" but it's no longer supported and although it's still available from places like here (older source version from Ubuntu here,) I'm sure you would have a very interesting time trying to find and install all the needed (older) KDE libraries and dependencies. Take that one at your own risk! :D

Thanks to all for the replies. Just to note what I have tried: I used to be able in Ubuntu to use Libre office writer to divide a page in 2 or 4 and create cards using both script and photos. However recently I had a major computer meltdown (probably from a voltage spike) which destroyed virtually everything. I had to resort to using an older machine that was really slow on Ubuntu 14.04 so I switched to Lubuntu 15.04 which does run better. However, for some reason I cannot get Libre to perform the same functions properly. It is very glitchy. As for Glabels, I do use it for business cards and labels but I cannot seem to get it to work for greeting cards.
I even tried re-using a saved card I had created in Libra on the previous computer but it also refused to respond and I was unable to change the content successfully. I don't know if it's a hardware or software issue as yet. I guess it's time to build a card making program for Linux systems... Tukatz
