Hi! I'm a newbie running a dual boot of Windows98 and Bayanihan Linux (a Local flavor of Linux in the Philippines; see :
http://bayanihan.asti.dost.gov.ph/ )
I've followed the instructions on this page:
http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc...intel8x0#intro up until the instruction to do this:
./configure --with-cards=intel8x0 --with-sequencer=yes;make;make install
The result i get for the above command is this (excerpt):
checking for current directory... /usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3
checking cross compile...
checking for directory with kernel source... /lib/modules/2.4.18-19.8.0/build
checking for kernel version... The file /lib/modules/2.4.18-19.8.0/build/include/linux/version.h does not exist.
Please, install the package with full kernel sources for your distribution
or use --with-kernel=dir option to specify another directory with kernel
sources (default is /usr/src/linux).
make all-deps
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3'
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `all-deps'.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3'
Please, run the configure script as first...
make dep
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3'
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3/acore'
Makefile:4: ../Makefile.conf: No such file or directory
Makefile:9: /alsa-kernel/core/Makefile: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `/alsa-kernel/core/Makefile'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3/acore'
make[1]: *** [dep] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3'
make: *** [include/sndversions.h] Error 2
</end of excerpt>
now im' stuck, don't know what to do next.
I tried ignoring the errors and proceeded with other instructions. It resulted in more errors. ;-(
Any advice?
Thanks a huge!
