gphoto and usb "port" problem
I'm trying to get my kodak dx3900 to work in gphoto and for some reason, it can't find my usb port. I have no clue why not.
libgphoto was compiled with ptp2 (the driver for my dx3900, successfully tested with 2.4 kernel; using 2.6.0 now). It compiled no problem. Here is the output: Code:
vexer@ominous:~$ gphoto2 --list-ports Code:
vexer@ominous:~$ gphoto2 --auto-detect as you can see, it detects my camera, yet doesn't get the usb... vexer |
More info:
dmesg gives this before and after camera turn on/off: [code] hub 3-0:1.0: new USB device on port 2, assigned address 6 usb 3-2: USB disconnect, address 6 [code] But still, I get the same as above. Is it because the 2.6.0 kernel changed some stuff and libgphoto doesn't know where to look? |
did anyone get the answer to this? I have the same problem.
And when I plug in a 2nd usb camera '--list-ports' tells me one of them and leaves the other one blank, but I need them both so I can run one script that tells both to take picture. Only way I know to do that is through the usb port. Pls help! |
