On Windows XP I encrypted file1.jpg to file1.jpg.gpg (this encryption is CAST5 and symetric). With Linux I try to decrypt the file with gpg. This does't work and gives the following output:
Code:
frank@daedalus /media/CORSAIR $ gpg file1.jpg.gpg
gpg: CAST5 encrypted data
can't connect to `/home/frank/.gnupg/S.gpg-agent': No such file or directory
gpg: encrypted with 1 passphrase
gpg: decryption failed: Bad session key
When I try to encrypt a file (file2.jpg) from Linux with the command "gpg -c file2.jpg". Then I can't decrypt the file under windows XP with gpg gui. I can't read the output gpg gui gives, but I think it gives the same output as under Linux.
Note that file1.jpg.gpg can be decrypted from windows and file2.jpg.gpg can be decrypted from Linux.
Why does the decryption not work?
