GoogleEarthLinux is flashy at times and the tools window doesn't fix steadily

Hi, GoogleEarthLinux is flashy at times and the tools window doesn't fix steadily such that when I want to configure settings, or edit properties such that I want to put an icon on the globe, the window flashes or inconsistently shows selected choices as I guess to where they are. I'm using a nVidia driver from Dell that is the most up-to-date. Please help.

If you use any kind of compositing - try to turn it off. May be it helps.
