Google Chrome repository
Hi everybody!
Code:
deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable main
Is it enough just to add it to "/etc/apt/sources.list" and apt-get update to install and be able to upgrade Google Chrome in Ubuntu? And no need to do anything else.

I want stable version.
So all I need to do is:
1. wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | apt-key add -
2. apt-get update
3. Add "deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free main" to sources.list
4. apt-get update
5. install Chrome from repos?
I did and after apt-get update I get
Code:
Reading package lists... Done
W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable/main Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/dl.google.com_linux_deb_dists_stable_main_binary-i386_Packages)
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

If you have ever installed Chrome by downloading it from the web it adds a sources.list line automatically, just like Opera does. Check your sources.list it was probably already there.

I searched "dl.google.com" line. And it's the only one in sources.list.

Google chrome source repos are not available
Google chrome source repos are not available I dont know why.
I use firefox in daily work use sometimes chromium testing. But I wanted to install Google chrome now and as I see by result of $apt-get update repos are disappeared.
This is the error I get:
Code:
W: Failed to fetch http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/dists/testing/main/binary-amd64/Packages 404 Not Found [IP: 74.125.232.198 80]
Craig also the links that you gave:
# Google Stable http://www.google.com/linuxrepositories/apt.html
# Google testing repository http://www.google.com/linuxrepositories/testrepo.html
does not work anymore.
Also craigevil I used some of sources.list lines from your big list but errors appear also for debian-multimedia:
