Good wallpaper setter (image viewer)

Hi !

I've searched if there was a post talking about this, but i haven't found
I'd like to know what is the best image viewer in order to set a background under fluxbox.

i know that fbsetbg is just a script that test if the system has some of the different bin he knows like qiv, xv, display, etc... but to me xv is the best one but it seems to be a software so i can't install it on my debian. (or maybe its package has a different name...)

The problem with xli is that when you put a f{u,i}llscreen, it adds a small white border at the edges and it's pretty ugly...
And with qiv there isn't any _smooth_ option.

So what are your advices please

apparently the best way to deal with this problem is to use qiv and scale the image to your screen size with gimp. It gives great results (even if it uses more space on your disk ).

fluxbox wallpaper

just type

fbsetbg -f /path/to/your/image.png

at the command line, alternatively you can put it in a dot file (style, or init or even in a menu if you like)
for example you could add the following line to the end of a style file,

rootCommand: fbsetbg -f /path/to/your/image.png

another option is to add ...

rootCommand: fbsetbg -l

to your init file, this will set your root window to the last wallpaper displayed on startup.

enjoy
