good httpd.conf to reference?

Where can i find a good production quality httpd.conf file which uses multiple modules (prefer it uses modsec) and virtual hosts? apache comes with a few httpd.conf files but i am looking for a more real-world example. many sites have "snippets" of sections of the file, looking for something complete.

why not check the folder your distro has httpd.conf in and look at the httpd.conf-orig that is there? a complete default configuration file.
which includes example virtual host containers in it.

good thought, but those files would be the same as the defaults that come with the apache tar file. I am looking for something more real world.

Something like this?
http://www.pantz.org/webservers/apac...dexample.shtml

That doesn't have anything to do with mod_security. If you download this: http://www.modsecurity.org/download/index.html
from the official site they have many examples of how to use it.
