Going default in Samba

I've changed the computer netbios name and return it to the last one and since then smbd won't start though nmbd starts.
Is there an easy way to go back to default setting? I guess remove and install won't work, right?

im sure you could find the default smb.conf online somewhere....

next time.....
before you edit a config file, back it up.

cp smb.conf smb.conf.old

if you break somthing, you can just pop the old one back in

cp smb.conf.old smb.conf
