Gnview - AutoRotate setting always on on load

Details:

OpenSUSE 10.1
Gwenview ver 1.3.1 (Using KDE Level "a" SUSE 10.1 UNSUPPORTED)

Everytime I open Gwenview the setting "Auto Rotate Images on load is set to on.
I can disable it and that will persist for the session but next time I open the app the setting has been reapplied.

I thought that this setting would be written to the conf file ~/KDE/share/config/gwenviewrc but changing this setting does not change the file at all....

One last thing I am currently running the app from Gnome, do you think that would make a difference?

Anyone had similar behaviour or know how to set it permanently off?

Thank you for reading

Gareth
