GNUMail.app

hello, I installed the GNUMail.app on sarge. After I typed in the
pop3 and smtp information from the isp. I got an e-mail saying I have successfully installed GNUMail.app. It won't connect to the pop3 server or smtp. I noticed when I open my mail account from the web page it uses https. So I enabled ssl but it still won't connect I can't find to much info on this app. Should I install mutt instead. I tried Pronto e-mail but couldn't understand the db part.

thanks
