gnuCash via RPM
 

I've run into the classic "You're missing stuff" problem with gnuCash, but it seems that I can't find the packages that the OS wants, so I got to thinking.

There must be an easier way to get gnuCash than downloading 30packages. Any idea of how I can solve my problem? Thanks so much.

gnuCash is very hard to install because of its crazy dependency tree. If you can't find a Fedora Core 4 rpm for gnuCash I suggest that you try kmymoney. kmymoney is simpler than gnuCash both in functionality and in install requirements.

I'll definately check it out. I guess I was just hoping that there would be an up2date channel for gnuCash, or something of the sort...

gnuCash is part of the extra packages that you can install from the CDs or DVD that you used to install Fedora Core 4.

Click on the "Desktop" menu item on the task bar --> "System Settings" --> "Add/Remove Applications"

Then find "Office/Productivity" group and click on "Details". You should see gnuCash there ready to be installed. Have the DVD or appropriate CD ready and click on the "Update" button.
