GNS3 reports wrong Qt version!

Hey, I am trying to set up GNS3 (The Dynamips front end) on PCLinuxOS 2007, 100% up to date.

However I go to run GNS3 (python gns3) from terminal and I get this:

Quote:
RuntimeError: Need Qt v4.3 or higher, but got v4.2.2
Synaptic says I have version 4.3.2. I am not sure whether the issue is with GNS3 or QT.

Does anyone know how to get it to recognise the version?

Thanks so much!

Simsie

P.S. I'm new to all this, so sorry if I sound stupid.

GNS3 will be checking the libraries for Qt version number and will not be asking Synaptic what version Synaptic thinks that you have installed. So take a look and see what version of Qt is actually installed in the library.

Qt is installed in /usr/lib. There may be more than one version of Qt installed. There will be a symbolic link from a general name to one of the specific version names. I don't have Qt4 installed but assuming that it follows the same naming convention as Qt3 you will have one or both of the following installed:

/usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.4.2.2
/usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.4.3.2

Then there will be a symbolic link:

/usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.4

which points to the version of Qt4 that you are actually using.
