GnomeMeeting problem and video chat programs for Linux?
 

OK, I've seen lots of questions around there from people looking for video chat program for Linux. Where is the webcam support for MSN and Yahoo?? Is GnomeMeeting really the ONLY program for video chatting in Linux??

The problem here is that GnomeMeeting crashes the whole internet after a while. We cannot use it to do video chat. This happens with the latest version on Mandrake 10 and T-Online internet connection. Other than this, GnomeMeeting works great. But after a while all internet client programs suddenly disconnect.

So any other video chat programs for Linux? Also worth adding that I'm behind NAT/firewall, so the program needs to support that. And I tried Ayttm and Gyach, but they just won't work.

does anyone have a im program that works with msn webcam ?

try wengophone. it works for me with their autoresponder. Get in touch if you want a real life test. I wouldn't mind to test it in real life.

Supposedly the gaim-vv project was rolled into the main Gaim2 release. Since they've just put Gaim 2.0.0 beta out there, it might be worth a look.

Theres been a new release of aMSN that has web cam support

aMSN webcam works very well indeed. Also through firewalls and NATs, as long as both users are not behind one. gAIM seems to take long adding the webcam-support, but well, since aMSN has it now, I am happy. MSN picture quality is crap, though, but for that there is GnomeMeeting.
