Unhappy gnome-terminal: undefined symbol: vte_terminal_set_scroll_background

Hi all!

I can't open my gnome-terminal any longer. The strange thing is that I didn't perform any upgrade or installations!
When I try to launch the terminal, I got the following message:

> gnome-terminal: error while loading shared libraries: gnome-terminal: undefined symbol: vte_terminal_set_scroll_background

I read some posts about similar problems but they didn't help me.
I'm running Fedora Core 2 and gnome 2.6. As I said I did't upgrade or change ant libraries, so I can't figure out why the terminal is not working as it did just yesterday!
Any help would be appreciated!

I just managed to restore my gnome-terminal by simply deleting the files and vte and reinstalling both the vte library and the gnome-terminal.

Hope this might help someone in the future!
