Gnome settings not sticking
I'm running fluxbox on Slackware 10. The gnome program fonts are kind of big, so I change the theme and font sizes using gnome-control-center.
That's all fine, and it changes everything okay, including when i close gnome-control-center.
However, when I restart x windows, the settings don't stay, and gnome programs have the same old large font and ugly grey normal buttons. They don't go back to the theme I set them to until I start gnome-control-center again.
I've heard people changing gnome program settings like this and having it work fine for them. Is gnome-control-center or some daemon supposed to be running in the background or something to keep the settings in check?
