gnome-session file

I have been trying to install gnome-2.10 using garnome. The installation finished without error. The garnome-session file that I'm supposed to make is supposed to have the line EXEC=$GARNOME/bin/gnome-session. This gnome-session file does not exist. Is this an installation error, or am I supposed to create this file too?

Which distro are you using? I presume you have installed from source.

On my box, the file is /usr/bin/gnome-session. Try to locate the file, maybe the execute permission is not set, but if the file is missing, then my best guess is that its an installation error.

It's slackware, and I did install from source. There is /usr/bin/gnome-session, but I don't think that's the correct gnome-session file. Isn't that for the version that was installed when the system was installed, since it's in /usr/bin? I believe that is the file for version 2.6 (too bad slack dropped gnome). The file that the script wants is the gnome-session file that was created during the garnome-2.10 install, which is supposed to be $GARNOME/bin/gnome-session, which doesn't exist. By the way, I set garnome to be installed in /opt, so the file should be in /opt/gnome/bin/gnome-session.
