Gnome problem

Hi!
Can anyone explain what does this error mean?
CORBA: IDLmg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0
I experience it each time i try to open a terminal or some game under gnome.
How can I recover it?
Thanx!

in your home directory
