Gnome meeting

I have just started using gnomemeeting. The video works great but for some reason it sees my mic but my headset that came with the video camera works when I talk into it I can hear myself on the speakers and in my ear. So what could be the problem with folks not hearing me on Gnomemeeting?

FC3 with the current 2-6.12 kernel just did updates with yum and apt-get.

I have also tried a program qnext found at qnext.com which allows video but I can't find a way to adjust the contrast and light to let my friends see me clearly. My image is fine in gnomemeeting but not in qnext.

Also my mic does not work with either one. The Qnext uses a java audio capture which works with other distros from what I keep hearing from my friends.

I have it all set up on a Fujitsu FMV-biblio nb50g.
