Gnome FTP Client (GUI)

I tried downloading FileZilla, but I didn't see any way to run, compile, make or do anything with this. I tried opening a file called "filezilla," but nothing at all happened.

Can anyone help me get FileZilla running, or suggest an easier alternative? FZ works fine in Windows, not sure what the problem is in Linux... I'm in CentOS 5.5.

I've used gFTP when a graphical user interface was needed.

gFTP Official Homepage.
For installation you'll probably find it in the reposities of your distribution.

yum install gFTP (if it isn't already installed).

What's wrong with Nautilus? It's quite able to log into a remote ftp server and let you view the files or drag and drop as though the files were on your local computer
