gnome equivalent for kile

Is there any Gnome versions for Kile?
If not, which one is the good editor for latex in Gnome.

I prefer using the bare-minimum/inbuilt latex tools available in linux! :-(

You could try Lyx. It is a usable program even for newbies.
It seems quite useful even though i prefer to use emacs with Auctex (steep learning curve..)
